Statement of Purpose

The Milwaukee Area Home Learners homeschool co-op is a learning community dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for intellectual exploration and social interaction for homeschooled students. We value a diversity of backgrounds and experiences, and we believe that fostering critical thinking skills and a love of learning is essential for well-rounded development.

Our Focus:

• Academic Enrichment: We offer a variety of classes that complement and extend the homeschool curriculum, fostering a love of learning in a collaborative environment.

• Social Interaction: We provide opportunities for students to connect with peers, build friendships, and develop social skills.

• Respectful Community: We promote a culture of mutual respect, kindness, and acceptance of all members.

What We Don't Discuss:

To maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment, we respectfully ask that discussions of politics, religion, and gender studies be avoided during co-op activities and classes. We believe these topics are best explored within the family unit or in dedicated learning environments.

Our Commitment:

We are committed to providing a space where students can learn and grow without feeling judged or pressured. We encourage open-mindedness, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
